Steenbok are small, standing 16"-24" at the shoulder, solitary antelope in south and eastern Africa.  Their number around 600,000, as of 2008 their IUCN Red List Conservation Status is Least Concern.  I only saw three post these petite mammals during my six weeks in the bush and was only able to photography this one.
